Rope Making

Here`s a big un, 16 strands per line, 48 total. The finished rope is 50 feet long and 1 1/2 inch in diameter.

Sorry I don`t have a clue, a lot i would think but what the rope is made of will effect its strength tremendously,
They make dandy old fashion swings.

I find lengths of nylon rope along the river I walk and it must be 4 - 5" through. I was going to bring some home but 20' was too heavy and full of sand.

Might be better than a lock on my bike if I could lift it.
