People ... can't live with them ... can't live without them ..!!

I hear you ... When people are put under stress, they quite often lose the smile and in some cases get down right nasty. One of the things in the western nations is that there are a lot of people who are not used to bearing adversity and when times are good they do not have to.
These people become particularly prone to over-reaction when hard times set in.
As you said in another post ... when you you are already at the bottom it is less distance to fall ... well not that things are that easy for a lot but there are sure many that are facing their first taste of real world dynamics and the greed and insensitivity of their countrymen.

Isn't it tax time ..??

My property taxes are due July 1 ... ...

We are not shooting at each other yet ... ... at least not as much as elsewhere ...

Come up to my neck of the woods ... we have so much culture here that nobody knows from talking if someone is upset or not ... in 57 earth languages ...

That stupid oil leak is like a burr under my saddle ... I find myself trying to think of how to get that oil up to the surface and contain it ... this is 2010 and we can't get enough suction to pull that oil and a bit of water into an oil tanker and separate the two there..??

Where are scientists in charge of suction when you need them..?? ...rant ...

Hang in there Jessie..!!

2 Timothy 3

1But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.

I was thinking of that ITW, I'm hearing lately of more and more young people who have no respect for their parents, but expect the perks.. just another sign of the times.

I hope you're not all like me and consider retreating into your shells because of how bad the world is now. Because I realized we're actually lucky to be living in this time. All the better to prove ourselves in. And almost every single one of those "people" can change and have hope. When it's all said and done: love faith and hope are all that remain, and love is the greatest of these things. Love holds no account of wrongs done. Love is a verb. The brightest gold perseveres through the hottest fire.

It does not matter what time a believer lives in. There is always work to do.

Yeah, doing more and doing less are equal if you still did all you could but my point was just a way to turn these negative facts around into positive ones. You don't have to neutralize everything -.'-

My point is we are in a time when it is all sliding down hill. But we still look for the opportunities.

I call the time we live in a salvage mission. Forget the Revival, ain't gonna happen.

That is not backing off or sitting on a hill waiting for God. It is called being real about where we are.
